After falling in decay and abandonment for 15 years, Aisha Fahmy Palace in Zamalek is finally reopening this Wednesday after extensive renovations, which restored the historical mansion to its former shine and glory.

The architectural masterpiece, which was built in 1907, was designed by renowned Italian Architect Antonio Lashak to be the residence of Princess Aisha Fahmy, the daughter of King Fuad's highly-ranking adviser Aly Basha Fahmy.

The palace is being managed by the Ministry of Culture's Fine Arts department, which plans to reestablish the palace as a prestigious complex of arts and culture.

These astonishing photos were exclusively featured by "ElBeit" a leading culture, design and art magazine published monthly by Alahram publishing house. The photographer Hesham Labib, who is originally an architect, did the photo session right after the renovation of the palace was completed more than a year ago.
