Think tutus, tiaras, and a whole lot of glitter as Easy Talent Academy is set to organise Egypt's first National Classical Ballet Competition.

Ballet! Cue images of adorable little girls in pink tutus, Angelina Ballerina flashbacks, lots of dancing, lots of bows and a lot of glitter. Picture that, multiply it by infinity and you have Egypt’s first National Classical Ballet Competition. It’s all very cute, and we love it.

Easy Talent Academy, one of Cairo’s top ballet schools, is organising the event scheduled for the 11th of March, bringing together more than 100 competitors aged 7-16, from ballet schools all around Cairo, Sharm el Sheikh, Alexandria, Hurghada, and more. The Suzanne Mubarak Library in Maadi will host the event and the competition is open to younger and older solo acts, as well as duets and group routines.

Judges will be internationally recognized Classical Ballet experts, and winners of the First Prize for each category receive entrance to the Intensive Ballet Program in Livorno, Italy. So it’s definitely worth a shot! Registration is open until the 31st of January so if you think you can Swan Lake it better than all the other tutu-clad kids out there, we suggest you hurry up and sign up.

Think skirts that stick straight out, some friendly competition and probably some intense nostalgia of childhood memories. Hurry up and nab a slot for your kids, guaranteed at least to bank a few treasurable photos for future reference.
