Vito Nesta is one seriously gifted interior designer creating beauty from his wanderlust

Staff Writer

Vito Nesta, an Italian interior designer known for the cultural inspirations in his pieces, recently released his newest collection of grand tour dishes inspired by Cairo, Lebanon and Kenya. The Grand Tour dishes is a personal project that follows the designer’s journeys and travels. The artist brilliantly manages to interweave factual as well as imagined elements from his wanderlust into his designs.

vito nestaNesta imagines the tales of Ancient Egyptain women on the Cairo Plates as he depicts them in traditional headdresses, deep in thought. These women take the forefront of the landscape. Their backdrop is made up of colorful fruits and flowers and serves as a representation of the conversation between human and beauty apparent in the medley of warm and cold colours. vito nestaThe Lebanon plates focus more on the past in depicting scenery from a time far gone and the men and animals inhabiting them as nature contrasts with the architecture. Kenya’s plates use smells, colors and stories of African warrior populations to explore the country through that lens.vito nestaNesta was born in Milanm and later on went to Florence to get his degree in interior design. His pieces stand out in that they draw much of their inspiration from the artist’s love for all cultures and his wanderlust.
