Art lovers, behold! The prominent Sultan Sood Al-Qassemi will be giving a talk on the political undertones of iconic artworks of the 20th century in the Arab world next Wednesday, November 30th. And what better place to host this talk than the iconic Bibliotheca Alexandrina itself?

Named a Twitter star for its famed Twitter account and coverage of the Arab Spring, Al-Qassemi is a United Arab Emirates-based columnist and prominent commentator on Arabic affairs. He's also the founder of the Sharjah-based Barjeel Art Foundation, where his boundless passion for art is on display, exhibiting his personal collection.

Alexandria peeps, make sure to check it out; it's going to be an artsy affair of epically geeky proportions, and we're dying of envy here in Cairo. We might not have the Library, but we do have a few palaces where you may want to come – yes, Sultan?
