Carrying on with her apparent obsession with Egypt, American pop megastar, Beyonce, took to the stage at the Grammy's last night in an Egyptian-inspired golden dress. The sensational singer put on an extravagant performance of her song, Mother's Pride, which included elements inspired by India and Ancient Egypt and was dedicated to the celebration of women and motherhood everywhere.

Beyonce was introduced to the stage by her mother, in what was her first public appearance since announcing her pregnancy with twins two weeks ago in an Egyptian-inspired Instagram post. The hip-hop singer turned pop icon went into the Grammys with 9 nominations for her monumental hit, Lemonade.

Beyonce was, however, overtaken by Adele, who won all five Grammys for which she was nominated. "My queen and my idol is Queen B. I adore you," Adele said to Beyonce in the speech she gave while accepting her award.
