Egypt Brings Home 10 Medals From 44th International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva

According to the Embassy of Switzerland's Facebook page, several Egyptian inventors were awarded with 10 medals - seven gold, one silver, and two bronze – in appreciation for their inventions and contributions at the 44th International Exhibition of Inventions, which took place in Geneva last week and hosted 752 exhibitors from 48 countries.

The Egyptians' inventions varied in nature – one invention tackled a system for generating electricity from trains, another was a natural soap made from 95 per cent rice straw, and one was a solar electric generator that is substantially more efficient (90 per cent) than solar panels.

Egyptians continue to prove – whether through competitions and exhibitions abroad or everyday circumstances right here at home – that they are an impressively innovative bunch. Chapeau to all the contestants.
