A massive cake can turn every frown upside down, especially if it's about 100 kilos.

Master footballer and Starchild Mohamed Salah celebrated his 26th birthday yesterday on June 16th, and while he might not have gotten his birthday wish of winning the first Egypt match in the World Cup, he did get quite a nice present from some of his Chechen fans. A 100kg cake, decorated with a golden boot was given to Salah to celebrate his brithday, "we could've celebrated more"exclaimed Ehab Leheta, Egypts National Team director, as seen on ESPN.

Salah was unable to play on his birthday, and unfortunately, Egypt lost to Uruguay 1-0 in the World Cup opener. Ehab went on to state that "He was very upset after the Uruguay game. He thought he could have played and made a contribution." Mohamed Salah was an unused substitute and is being saved for the next matches; with one coming up on Tuesday. While Salah may have felt a little dismayed at losing on his birthday, perhaps that sugar rush may have helped a little.
