Attention all food connoisseurs, music lovers and everything in between! Cairo Bites is just around the corner, kicking off on Friday April 17th and running until 10PM the next day. Now we've already perused the list of restaurants that'll be there and listed the ones you can't miss, but it's not all about stuffing your belly. With an incredible line up of entertainment on two stages, Cairo Bites has all your cravings satisfied.

Let’s start with Day 1. As far as music and live entertainment is concerned, you have several options to look forward to, starting only half an hour after the doors officially open. With a stand-up comedy show, dance numbers, magic tricks and more, adults and kids alike will have something to smile at. Be sure to catch the Rap and Hip Hop in store as Osama Elhady and the unstoppable Zap Tharwat team up starting at 4pm so be sure to get there early.

Looking for some quick and easy recipes? Chef Amira Shanab will be hosting a workshop for that purpose especially at 3:30pm on the CBC Sofra Stage which will host TV chef after TV chef. Now, we safely assume a majority of people love Egypt’s interestingly textured classic dish, molokheya so you better gather around as Chef Naglaa will be in attendance, holding a workshop on how to make the PERFECT molokheya dish at 8:30pm. That’s not all folks; there will be several other celebrity chefs on the first day but we don’t want to tire your eyes out.

You’ll be happy to know on day two the doors will be opening at 12:00pm which means you have even more time to indulge in happiness. Keep your ears open for the swinging Bluezophrenia Band starting at 5:30pm which as we’re sure you already know will be playing classic Blues and Rock ‘n’ Roll tunes so bring a pair of dancing shoes as well. The Darwasha Project will also be taking the stage at 8:15pm bringing to the table their interesting but widely popular genre of Oriental Progressive Metal.

As far as cooking workshops are concerned on the second day, be on the lookout for the renowned Chef Sherbini and his  Perfect Ma7shi Workshop starting at 7:30pm. Chef Maggie will also be teaching us how to conjure the Most Creative Salad at 3:30pm. Goodness we’re all getting hungry just writing about it...
