Online retailer Souq.com has infused its website with a heavy dose of nationalistic pride by launching an 'I am Egypt' page.

Joining in the government's continued efforts to stimulate Egypt's economy and curb imports, Souq's page features everything from bedding and linens to household goods and water filters, all made in Egypt.

Egypt's government launched a 'Proudly Made In Egypt' campaign in August to promote the visibility of domestically produced goods that meet or exceed the standards by which similar import goods are produced. The Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade, Tarek Kabil, said that 'Proudly Made In Egypt' will begin to appear on exported products to help promote Egypt's industry and decrease the country's reliance on imports and foreign currency.
