Lindsay Lohan to Star Alongside an All-Women Saudi Cast in Her Upcoming Film

In an appearance on the US daytime show The Wendy Williams Show on Friday, pop star Lindsay Lohan announced that she's currently preparing for a new movie, Frame, in which she will starring alongside an all-women Saudi Arabian cast, as reported by the UAE's The National.

The movie, for which the release date is yet to be revealed, will be centered around the character of an American woman who moves to the Saudi capital, Riyadh, after divorcing her husband. The woman then befriends a group of local women and through them she slowly uncovers the unique cultural traits of the ultra conservative kingdom and reality of life for women there."She starts to truly understand the culture," Lohan explains on her upcoming character. "The women take her in to understand why they cover and why they do these things."

Furthermore, Lohan revealed that an artificial island, dubbed Lohan Island, is currently in the negotiation phase with Dubai's The World Islands. “I figured I’ve gone to enough [islands], I should have my own."

Last year, Lindsay Lohan stirred controversy after making an appearance alongside the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan bearing the hijab, after which she claimed she was 'racially profiled' at London's Heathrow Airport for covering her hair with a headscarf.
