Egyptian Footballer Ahmed Hassan ‘Koka’ Signs for Greek Champions Olympiacos

The 25 year-old calls time on a 7 year spell in Portugal.

Egypt international Ahmed Hassan Mahgoub, aka Koka, has signed for Greek giants Olympiacos on a season long loan from Portuguese side Sporting Braga, according to Kingfut.

The move comes as no surprise, with Koka having been linked to the Greek champions extensively over the last couple of weeks, as we edge closer to the end of the summer transfer window in Europe. The move will see Koka reuniting with manager, Pedro Martins, after working together at Portuguese side, Rio Ave, where Koka scored 24 goals in 66 appearances.

Koka signed to Sporting Braga in 2015, managing to score only 17 goals in 57 appearances. He will now become the fourth Egyptian playing in the Greek League, joining PAOK’s Amr Warda and Zamalek loanees Bassem Morsi and Shikabala who are at AEL Larissa and Apollon Smyrni respectively.

Olympiacos will play in the Europa League this season, where they will face Premier League Side Burnley in the play-off round on the 23rd and 30th of August.
