Having made headlines this year with his winning streak, Egyptian football player Mo Salah is being honored by the British Museum for being top scorer in the British premier league this season.

The British museum - which houses the largest collection of Egyptian relics - will be showcasing the player's adidas boots alongside their extensive archeological treasures. Deeming the boots an Icon of Modern Egypt, the 25 year old's shoes will be placed with the museum's pharaonic heritage and the rosetta stone.

The announcement for the exhibit was revealed on twitter earlier today. The boots are set to be showcased until next Saturday's final league match which will see Liverpool go head to head with Real Madrid, reports the National.

Salah - who was voted PFA's player of the year - has been garnering attention worldwide and has achieved recognition in the football world with this season's recorded 32  goals.
