After the smashing success of Bel Bicycle’s Ramadan campaign, Nouran Salah, the woman who inundated international media with her initiative to donate Ramadan meals on a bike, has now taken it upon herself to spearhead an urban cycling movement. Kicking off this Friday 5th of August, Bel Bicycle will be starting in the streets of Mohandiseen, where 50 cyclers will be heading off on a tour to discover their city.

The ride, which costs EGP 40, will tour towards the authentic palace of Mohammed Ali in Manial, donating all the collected funds to provide for refugee and underprivileged families. The cycle, as the initiative defines it, will continue next Friday with the “charity ride,” where people will distribute donations.

Kicking off at 8:00 AM, the tour will be the first of several initiatives aimed to flood the city with bikers and women who stand up for themselves.
