Five Women Who Changed Egypt

They say that history is written by the victors. In Egypt, not only do the victors write the history but said victors are always men. It is for this reason that all too often very powerful and important women are forgotten, even though their contributions are usually the hardest to achieve, especially in a man's world. In honour of Mother's Day we have decided to work with our friends at Ana Hunna to compile a list of brave women who made difference in Egypt, helping to give a women a voice in a society that still prefers them silent.
