Heineken Is Bringing the UCL Soccer Lounge Back for the Ultimate Soccer Fan Experience

Looking for a place to watch the UCL match this coming Wednesday? Well, Heineken not only lets you watch the match but you also get to experience a virtual reality game! Wait, what? Heineken is going all out this season, putting together a stadium experience at two locations with a virtual reality game and a competition where the top two winners will get a chance to attend the screening in Ibiza, while anyone who meets the minimum score wins instant prizes. All you have to do is buy two Heinekens… and win, of course.

Getting bigger and better this year, Heineken will have bigger screens, better day experiences, and an unforgettable final screening. We know that most guys would rather watch the game at home than at a bar. Bars don’t cut it, sometimes – watching the match is an intimate thing. We know all that, and so does Heineken. They have something really exciting up their sleeves, so prepare your excuses for Tuesday and Wednesday now. We would suggest: "Oh, no sweetie, you go ahead and sleep, I have loads of paperwork to catch up on."

Knowing there will be an endless flow of Heinekens, we already booked our spots! It all kicks off next Wednesday as we get to watch Salah clash with Ronaldo (that is, Roma vs. Real Madrid), as well as Gent vs. Wolfsburg. Screenings will take place at two locations: Almaz at Cairo Marriott Hotel and Omar Khayyam Casino in Zamalek, and another location that’s yet to be announced. The virtual reality game will be played as a competition, with anyone meeting the minimum score instantly winning a gift. Plus, the grand prize involves Ibiza. Oh, now you’re interested, huh? Not only that, but the competition is played between the two screening hubs; winners receive prizes in the form of cool merchandise and free Heineken on the day of the match. Over the entirety of the scheduled matches, the two players with the most points each win a trip to Ibiza to catch the final screening, with a plus one for each!

We know, it sounds great. There’s another awesome challenge for you, too. During halftime, we usually sit around waiting for the second half to start and have to endure the awful music that the venue we’re at is playing. No more will we have to sustain the brain cell loss that may result from listening to a Justin Bieber song! During halftime, a trivia match between the attendees will take place. Each table comes with a buzzer, and the team with the most correct answers will win a selection of different merchandise – footballs, handbags, and other cool goodies. On top of all that, an usher at each hub will give out scratch cards to anyone who orders two or more beers so they can register and play for other cool prizes – in other words, more reasons to buy more beer. Well, you better believe that we will be winning all of these competitions, and we will not share any of our cool prizes with you! See you next Wednesday, punks; you’re all going down!

Take a quick scroll up and count the number of times we said 'Heineken' – that's the number of drinks we expect each person to be consuming. Thinking of getting behind the wheel after all those beers? Think again. Drinking and driving don't mix! You could always bring a designated driver, but nobody wants to be the designated driver – really, they don't. Those who volunteer to be DD are incredibly wonderful people who love you, and you should cherish them. That's how we're feeling about Uber right now because they're choosing to be our DDs on Wednesday following those far-too-many Heinekens. Unlike your own designated driver, the Uber drivers won't complain about always being DD, won't sit there during the event complaining about not drinking, and won't ask you for gas money. Instead, they're going to drive all of us home for free. Make sure you to grab one extra beer fe se7et all the Uber drivers taking us all home that night.
